Sharon:

I intended to get this written before now but other priorities unfortunately necessitated the delay. Now that I have the time I want to let you know how much I enjoyed and benefited from my involvement with you and your staff.

If you recall, I came into the Clubhouse one day determined to create a scrapbook for my wife Linda’s 60th birthday, an occasion that warranted something out of the ordinary, however, I had no knowledge of what it takes to create such a book, how it’s done, what materials are available, and so on. In effect I knew little or nothing except that as her birthday approached my timeframe was growing shorter by the day.

You stepped up to the challenge, sat down with me and helped me map out the theme, subject matter and flow, and helped me choose the right combination of materials from among your vast array of supplies and tools. You and your crew made it possible for me to meet my deadline by taking on some of the tasks yourselves and teaching me some of the tricks of the trade so I could accomplish the bulk of the work myself. You guys were great, taught me a lot and were always there to help me over the hard parts, offer guidance and support when I needed it and to resupply me when I ran out of glue or ideas.

Needless to say, the book was a huge success and truly reflected the long hours, hard work and expertise that went into it. Linda was very pleased and everyone who has looked at the book has come away with a clear understanding of just who and how special Linda is. I couldn’t be more pleased with the book and with you and your staff.

In closing, I’d like to put a stop to an ugly rumor; that is that “real men don’t go scrappin”. I’m sixty-two, a semi-retired business executive, a former (no such thing as ex) Marine sergeant and ride a Harley Davidson, my 7th bike and 5th Harley. Given that, I feel well qualified to speak for the real men out there and I say you can go scrappin’ and still be a real man, maybe even moreso.

Thanks again for all your help.

Regards,

Mike McMahon
